SHADE TREE MINISTRY
Your generous donations of Rice and Beans are much appreciated. Donations are always needed and can be placed in the bin in the Narthex for distribution. For info contact David or Martha Willis.
BACK TO BASICS
Dr. James Nestigen will be presenting “The 10-Commandments” beginning June 13th in the worship center during Adult Class. The series will be repeated in July so that adults can participate in both Peer Leadership AND Back to Basics!
Camp Joy at Joy Lutheran Church!!
Monday July 19th thru Friday July 23rd
3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Camp Joy preparations have begun, and the registrations are ready and available at our church office or download it here. This year, Camp Joy will take place July 19th- July 23rd beginning at 3:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm. It is big fun for kids who will be entering Kindergarten through beginning 5th grade. High school and College-age team leaders from Camp Lutherhill in La Grange, adult and youth volunteers will lead campers through a week of fun, fellowship and faith development from 3:00 to 8:00. Each day will begin with Jump Start, songs and an introduction to the daily camp activities. Campers will then go through the afternoon and evening of Bible study, activities, crafts, and games that tie in with the overall theme. Dinner will be provided each evening and campers are asked to bring a small snack each day. Space limited to 40 campers total so please get your registrations to the church office beginning now though June 30th. Be on the lookout as more details emerge about this fun and exciting event for all ages. Price is $ 35.00 per child with a $ 10.00 sibling discount. FDIC “SUMMER OF SERVICE”
This will be intergenerational and parents are invited to participate with their children or anyone of any age can join. We will be showcasing the various ministries Joy is involved in as well as begin some one time one of a kind projects. We have a wide array of service projects planned and we need your help! There will be a sign up sheet beginning May 2nd in the Narthex. Watch for lists in the newsletter for items that will be needed. Boxes will be in the fellowship hall starting May 23rd for you to begin bringing these items. Look for the toolkit to highlight needs throughout the summer!
