Men's Bible Study
The group meets every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Joy. The current discussion topic is "The Seven Feast of the Lord" given to Moses, by God, on Mount Sinai. All men are welcome.

The men’s bible study will be taking a break for the summer. The last meeting will be Thursday May 22nd. We will resume Thursday Sept. 4th. We hope you will join us.

THE PASSION PLAY @ OBERAMMERGAU
Joy is tentatively planning a Luther tour with attendance at this once every decade event in June, 2010. If interested, check out the brochures available in the Foyer.

BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG COMING AGAIN
Once again Joy will be supporting the Pregnancy Resource Center by collecting money between Mother's Day and Father's Day. Baby bottles will be available in the Narthex for you to pick up and fill up between those dates. PRC has now opened a facility in Sugar Land in addition to the one in Rosenberg. Their mission statement is ""Our purpose is to prevent abortion by offering women the information, emotional support, spiritual encouragement, and practical help that will empower them to choose life for their child and sexual integrity for themselves." All of their services are free and they offer counseling, education, help in choosing the best option for their child, parenting classes, and sexual integrity classes. NEW BUILDING WORKDAY
Please join us on May 24th at 9 a.m. We will be finishing minor repairs, painting and getting some general help running electricity if Centerpoint remembers we are still waiting! Your help is encouraged and needed!

BUILDING OUR NEW DECK!
The installation of our deck will tentatively begin on June 7th with the posts being installed. The next 3 days we will complete the project. All disciples of Joy are encouraged to join in this labor to finish the almost doubling of our campus! Come out to help, encourage or even annoy! Work will begin at 9 a.m. on the 7th. Let’s make this a time of productive and joyful fellowship together.

LUTHERHILL Family Camp: June 29th-4th of July
1-99 years old - Trying to plan a family vacation for years and can’t seem to pull if off? Bring the entire family to Lutherhill for this special week! Spend time with your family in God’s creation doing all of your favorite camp activities. Make new friends, grow in your faith and create family memories that will leave your children begging to come back. This week is for moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, godparents, oh yeah, and the kids! Whether you’re 1 or 1 at heart! End the week with a bar-b-que, fireworks and parade! July 20 is Lutheran Day at Minute Maid Park
Join us for a great day of baseball to benefit the Krause Children’s Center and LSS Adoption/Foster Care programs. Tickets for the Astros vs. Cubs game will be half price plus $2, with the additional $2 to benefit the children. The first pitch of the game will be awarded to the congregation that raises the most funds above and beyond the ticket prices.
