A Brief History of Joy Lutheran Church
- First meeting in February, 1985 with Pastor Bob Engstrom. Membership:68.
- Current building dedicated in June, 1986.
- Pastor Woody Hall-February, 1990.
- Pastor Tim Christ-Mid 1999 to present.
- Current membership: 384.
- Avg attendance: 174.

SHADE TREE MINISTRY
Your generous donations of Rice and Beans are much appreciated. Donations are always needed and can be placed in the bin in the Narthex for distribution. Volunteers to assist Martha Willis, Bob Jahn, and others on Tuesdays and Fridays handing out the rice and beans would be greatly appreciated! Other items needed include men’s work gloves and shoes.
Help is always needed in distributing food. They meet at the Rosenberg Train museum at 6:50am on Tuesdays & Fridays, and hand out food, then move down to Larry’s in Richmond and hand out there. They would really appreciate more help with that. If interested call Doris Goates at 281-342-6342, or Bob Jahn at 281-733-3542.
